Dr. Harry Morris, PCOM, reminding students there are 2 reporting forms (CR-1 & CR-2) that need to be completed for each rotation. |
.
Each student must complete a student profile and CR-1 and return it to the Northcentral AHEC prior to placement confirmation. The student profile is sent to the preceptor with the placement request. Please click on the link above and send the completed student profile and CR-1 by email to Dr. Ardys Boostrom at ardysb@ncpaahec.org or fax to 570-724-5397.
AHEC-affiliated providers are committed to providing quality training experiences in our rural communities. Each rotation site in the Northcentral AHEC has a contact person to whom the students should report the first day of the rotation. These are all primary care sites with a variety of specialties represented including Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and OB/GYN. If the student has a preference, it should be stated on the profile. Although the Northcentral AHEC makes every effort possible to match students with preceptors of choice, this is not always possible.
***Please contact the Northcentral AHEC directly with any questions or concerns regarding sites and training arrangements.***
The Northcentral AHEC strives to offer every student adequate housing. Accommodations range from a rental house to rooms in homes of private individuals. Specific information on housing will be sent to the student prior to the start of the rotation.
Each student must have his/her own transportation. In these rural areas, practice sites, hospitals, and student housing are generally miles apart. If you arrive without your own transportation, the AHEC cannot relocate you to a different training site than where you have been assigned.
Each county in Northcentral Pennsylvania AHEC has unique qualities and challenges for the population to maintain its health and well-being. Click here for specific information for each county.
