"Updates in Pediatric Dentistry: Treating Tiny Tots to Teens"
This course features a comprehensive update in Pediatric Dentistry.
Participants will learn the latest concepts in caries formation and
prevention. Non -formocresol
pulpotomies as well as the most recent pulpal treatments using MTA will
be discussed. The topics of Esthetic and Restorative dentistry will
include new designs in tooth preparation as well as when to use GIC and
RMGI’s as restorative materials.
The final topic of this course will include a discussion of
contemporary concepts in the management and treatment of traumatic
injuries including an improved and simple technique for splinting.
Participating clinicians will be able to use these treatment
modalities in everyday clinical practice.
Lance Kisby, DMD, FASDC, FAGD, FAAPD
Dr. Lance Kisby is a graduate of
Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and did his Pediatric Dental
training at Floating Hospital in Boston.
He was in private practice for 17 years in Massachusetts before
taking a position as Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at St. Mary’s Hospital
in Waterbury, Connecticut.
He is now Chief of Pediatric Dentistry at Geisinger Medical Center in
Danville, Pennsylvania as well as the Program Director of the Pediatric
Dental Residency. He also holds a Staff appointment in the Department of
Pediatrics. Dr. Kisby is a
Clinical Instructor in Pediatric Dentistry at Tufts and is Board
Certified in Pediatric Dentistry. The author of numerous articles,
contributing author of a Pediatric Dental textbook, and
Contributing Editor of the Journal of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry,
Dr. Kisby brings over 30 years of clinical, practical, and
teaching experience on many topics and issues in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dental Education Learning Objectives
The latest in Caries and Prevention using Xylitol, Fluoride Varnish,
MI Paste, Chlorhexadine, and
sealants.
How to use MTA for pulpotomies and direct and indirect pulp capping
in primary and permanent teeth.
Indications for the use of
Glass Ionomer Cements, Nanofilled composites, composite
placement and light curing techniques
in restorative dentistry as well as flowable composites for
PRR restorations.
Diagnosis and treatment of simple and complex traumatic injuries as
well as the most recent and simplest method for splinting.
4 Continuing Education Credits
will be awarded from the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists’
Association Academy of Dental Hygiene Studies, pending approval.
Dentists and Dental Hygienists will be required to provide their license
numbers during the onsite registration to receive credit.
Your proof of attendance
